The Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) announced a tentative six-year contract covering workers at all 29 US west coast ports. The draft agreement is subject to ratification by the PMA member companies and the ILWU members.
Acting US secretary of Labour, Julie Su, is reported to have played a key role in reaching the tentative agreement..
