CP and Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC), representing rail traffic controllers announced that they had reached a tentative three-year agreement. The CP news release quotes the TCRC General Chairman, Jason Bailey saying that he “looks forward to its successful ratification”.

This is the second of two CP labour agreements that expired on December 31, 2020, that have now reached a tentative settlement. The other agreement, previously reported several weeks ago, was with the signal maintainers, represented by the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

On other labour matters, FMA has been making inquiries regarding the dispute at the Port of Montreal between the longshore workers and the Maritime Employers Association (MEA), representing the terminal operators. FMA expects to be able to provide a status update to members within the next few days.
