CUSMA (NAFTA 2)

Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has updated its web page on the Canada-United States-Mexico (CUSMA) agreement. GAC is reporting that trilateral discussions on the “rules of origin” and “origin procedure” concluded on June 3. The GAC webpage contains a link to the new draft regulations on the U.S. Trade Representative’s website.

FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations

Transport Worker Safety Guiding Principles

The federal and provincial Transport Ministers met electronically on June 2 and agreed on guidelines for promoting safe practices for transport workers and for passengers in all modes of transport. The guiding principles that the ministers announced are designed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in those situations where the recommended physical distancing is not possible.
