As announced broadly by the media last evening, (April 18), no agreement was reached between the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and the federal government by the 9:00 p.m. deadline, and the public service strike commenced at 0001 hours, April 19.

At this stage there is not much specific information on government service disruptions, but some government departments have issued bulletins this morning.

The Transport Canada and Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) bulletins can be found at the following links.

The Transport Canada bulletin lists the services continuing to operate and those that will be subject to disruption.

The CTA notice reports that there will be some delays to dispute resolution activities.

This morning’s Blacklock’s Reporter item on the dispute can be accessed here.
