On March 2, The Hon. Omar Alghabra, Minster of Transport, issued a news release confirming that the implementation date for installation of ELDs on trucks in Canada will remain at June 12, 2021.
The news release also states that there will be a “soft” enforcement period following this date. It is described as “a progressive enforcement period” and “early enforcement measures will consist of education and awareness”.
